Next generation GlobalFix Pro feathures a professional grade, 16-channel GPS receiver for faster location acquisition - typically 3-5 times faster than a conventional GPS from a cold start. Upon activation, the built-in GPS receiver transmits your position coordinates in a powerful 406 MHz signal along with your registered, digitally-coded distress signal and a 121.5 MHz SAR homing frequency. The 110-yd GPS position accuracy is the optimum allowed by Cospas-Sarsat.
Also features a built-in LED strobe light, full-function test mode and GPS acquisition testing. The exclusive polycarbonate blend case is designed for maximum UV, chemical, temperature and shock resistance.

Patented rod system allows release of the beacon from a Category I bracket when submerged in water between 1.5 - 4 meters (4.9 - 13.1 feet). Designed to work with Sea Shelter™, Sea Shelter™2 and Sea Shelter™3 brackets.
A patented rod system does not rely on a battery, blade or pyrotechnic device to release the beacon. This advantage allows for a quick, seamless and reliable release in an emergency.
